Rocksanne and I went on one more horse ride before she gets too busy with baby horses and horse shows. We headed out to Barnett Preserve on a nice and hot Saturday morning. It was just her and I this time. We mosied along enjoying the sun and breeze. Along came some other riders with a dog and I think we spooked the dog because he took off running the opposite direction. His owners had to go search for him. They did find him eventually. We came upon a nice fat rattle snake sunning himself across the trail. I pulled up Khlassix and said Rattlesnake! We waited for him to move along. He made distinct noises as he slithered away like dry leaves moving in the wind. Shalimar danced away a bit as we passed. It was short ride of about 50 minutes but very nice and relaxing.
We got the horses back to Rocksanne's and hosed them off. Then we went to visit another friend whose horse had a foal a few days early. Baby was doing very well.
Then we got frozen yogurt!
