Wonderland Day 7

I am thinking about hamburgers, french fries, diet coke, and a big crunchy salad with grape tomatoes, shredded cheddar and thousand island dressing right now.  I'm hoping for hamburgers in Longmire the day after tomorrow.  I finished all my dark chocolate last night and we still have 5 days to go.  That's a real bummer.

Today we have 10 miles to walk from Indian Bar to Maple Creek.   I really enjoyed this section back into meadows and forests with killer views of Mt. Rainier.

My phone is acting up.  I spilled water on it during my last conditioning hike up El Cajon mountain and a few buttons don't work.  Now it's doing this weird thing where it freezes on the weather app and I have to reboot to get it unstuck.  UGH.

Doing a quick foot soak break.

What are these foreign looking contraptions?  We have to do a few road crossings and plan to visit the bathroom located in this parking lot.  I'm pretty excited to wash my hands and snot rag with soap in the sink.

 

Am I gonna get a pedicure or massage at the "Comfort Station?"  No, just a toilet but I'll take it!

This is an obscure shot of Creepy Orange Shirt Dude.  He was poaching one of the campsites at Maple Creek.  There are only about 2-4 sites at many of these locations and we already knew that Camp  Host, Crazy Cigarette Camera Couple, Kalamazoo and us would be occupying the entirety of Maple Creek.  Crazy Cigarette Camera Couple were the last to roll in so they had the uncomfortable task of checking the unknown guy's permit.  I can't remember if Creepy Dude's permit said he was supposed to stay at Nickle Creek or Paradise but he wasn't supposed to be there.  Nancy saw him down by the creek with his hands in his pants so we wanted no part of that action.  They took down all their gear and left so happy riddance.  We may have to smell cigarette smoke while we are in camp but Crazy Cigarette Camera Couple are our people!  Don't mess with us!
