Wonderland Day 8

Easy peasy 6.5 miles from Maple Creek to Paradise today.  Nice flowing forest trail and a bit of climbing.  Waterfalls galore!  Sylvia, Martha and Narada waterfalls and Reflection Lakes.  One disconcerting item was that we could see Stevens Canyon Road frequently and hear the traffic.  There were a few hot spots for day hikers so we saw more people than usual.  We had some intermittent rain this afternoon also.  We are lucky to have made it 8 days so far with excellent weather.
All I can think about is my hamburger tomorrow.

100 fasting.  Good.

Trail maintenance crew.  Thanks guys and gals for taking care of those downed trees!

The only live slug I saw the entire hike.  I will admit to being disappointed in this. I wanted to see some giant banana slugs!

Another sketchy section of trail we had to navigate.  Lots of flooding, wash-outs and landslides in this section.

One of the many road crossings we did over Stevens Canyon Road.

Reflection Lakes

As we are eating lunch and gazing out across Reflection Lakes, it starts raining.

Out comes the rain gear.
